Famagusta - Visitor reviews

We visited Famagusta during the International Art-Culture Festival.  Not only was the city overrun with tourists, we arrived late at night after getting lost only to find that our late arrival check-in status had not been honoured, and our hotel room rented to someone else.  After hours on the road from the airport, hungry and tired, we were not pleased with the supposed ‘warm hospitality’ we were supposed to get.  If you’re planning on going to Famagusta and you want to visit the city in relative comfort and at a relaxing pace, make sure there isn’t a festival or something going on.  Very disappointed indeed.
